A Trade p.52
In this vignette Lakshmi's step father is taking her to Bajai Sita's. When they arrive her step father is telling Bajai Sita that Lakshmi wants to work in the city. When Bajai Sita says that she doesn't have any hips, she's plain , and many other things, Lakshmi is wondering why does she need all this if she's going to work as a maid. This shows that she is an innocent little girl and does not know what is going on. I like this vignette because at first there was not much going on until this vignette, and also because this is where all the problems start building up for Lakshmi and gets more interesting.

This is also one of my favorite vingettes. There is just one thing you kind of missed out on. Auntie Bimla was actually the one that said the things about Lakshmi, not Bajai Sita. Well I think the rest was good.
I also think this is a very interesting vignette. Actually, Auntie Bimla is the one that tells Stepfather what is wrong with Lakshmi but you got the rest right. I like that way you summarized, i could picture everything. =]
